A premium controller became the center of a broader player program.
00 / Overview
Building a program around the mindset of serious players.
Xbox Elite began with a high-performance controller, but the opportunity extended beyond hardware. Agency689 developed and delivered a broader gaming program connecting product features, software updates, campaign language, team identity, apparel, and community for players who treat performance as part of how they play.

01 / Assignment
The product launch was only the beginning.
The controller gave the initiative a tangible center. The larger task was to define “Elite” as a performance standard, a recognizable identity, and a community serious players could see themselves joining.
02 / Launch Platform
One idea across hardware, software, identity, and community.
Controller features established the performance proof. Software updates kept the program active. Team identity and apparel made membership visible. Campaign language connected each part to a shared standard of serious play.
03 / Team Apparel
Performance made wearable.
Jersey designs translated Xbox Elite into a team identity through performance-inspired paneling, controller graphics, Xbox Elite marks, sleeve details, and numbered backs.
04 / Player Culture
Respecting the codes of serious play.
Every execution was grounded in commitment, control, training, and competitive gaming, avoiding the exaggerated shorthand brands often use when approaching player culture from the outside.
05 / Program Outcome
A full program, not a stack of disconnected concepts.
The executed work connected controller launch, software, campaign language, team membership, and apparel in one platform with multiple ways to remain active as the Xbox Elite ecosystem developed.
